In line with its environmental commitment, from 2017 Salvatore Ferragamo has partnered with UPS to offset all emissions generated by the shipment of products ordered through the ecommerce platform in Europe and in the United States, by joining carbon neutral certified projects.
The Company has obtained the ISO 14064 certification concerning the reporting of CO2 emissions, for Palazzo Spini Feroni, the Company’s historic headquarters in Florence, the Osmannoro site and the offices in Corso Matteotti, Milan. Moreover, the Osmannoro site has obtained the ISO 50001 certification, to ensure a more efficient and sustainable use of energy.
Since 2017, the Company has voluntary participated in the Carbon Disclosure Project, to favour transparency in the accounting of CO2 emissions, achieving the B score in the Climate section. As part of its environmental protection strategy, the Company is also committed to searching for sustainable transport solutions through the optimization of employees’ transfers, and to identifying initiatives capable of reducing environmental impact, such as car sharing and carpooling.
